Thanks for the heads up. I'm on SJC-LAX tonight. I wonder if/when UA will allow reaccommodation. Right now everything shows on time, including stuff that should've left an hour ago.

Geeez...I was on the SLC-SFO sector and arrived at SFO at 12:30pm. There were some announcements on the terminal about some cancellations and there were a number of ppl queueing up at the UA counters...some looked angry

A friend was due to fly DEN-AUS on Skywest at 1.55 - 5 minutes after the computer crashed - they were all boarded and ready to go and they had to disembark and the flight is now cancelled.

Has anyone ever seen "Schedule change due to computer failure" (the official reason on united.com) before?

Very strange if you ask me.

It is 4:21p Central and I am stuck at ORD. Boarded 6800 to ICT then deboarded because of the computer failure. No one seems to know what is going on or what the problem is. We are being told they cannot get hold of St. George dispatch by phone, fax or email.

Anyone know what the problem is?

Thanks, cblaisd for the heads up on this!

I called the Premier desk and said I wasn't interested in messing with this tonight, especially with a connection. The rebooked me from/to SFO all on mainline, and kept my other segments in tact, including upgrade. ^

5:43pm at ORD. All flights still grounded. No one knows what the exact problem is and no one knows when it might be resolved.

Checking departure status at ORD, this was what came up at just now

Did not seem to have too many departure flights get delayed. Those were delayed, most were for about 90 minutes or less.
Did not find anything pertaining to your particular flight.

Allset2Travel...

The board is incorrect. About every 20 minutes, the departure time is pushed back another 20 minutes on all these flights.

All Skywest flights are grounded at the present time. Sitting in ORD F concourse RCC and they just announced (again) that all flights are still grounded indefinely. My flight was supposed to depart at 2:55 -- 3 hr. and 10 min. ago.

Thanks for posting this thread - my mother is in the middle of this connecting in LAX and all I'd gotten was a garbled cell phone message saying something about computers and late.

At least there's a little detail here, although it sounds like there isn't much detail to be had anywhere!
