Flight delayed due to mechanical. Can I get any compensation
My flight UA818 get mechanical in YVR and dealy from 2:50 to 8:30, what kind of compensation can I request for? the agent said no alternate flight available at this time due to thanksgiving.

If CO's Its-your-fault-even-though-its-out-fault WEDON'TCARE is involved, maybe they will give you 3000 miles.
If UA's significantly better customer relations still exists, you will get a sliding scale of compensation based on status.
