I'm confused about the card because the T&C specifically state for the opening 25,000 bonus miles:

"This one-time bonus offer is valid only for first-time United Airlines personal cardmembers with new accounts. Previous and existing United Airlines personal cardmembers/accounts are not eligible for this bonus offer."

And I'm referring to the above link, as well as the Explorer ad that appears on this thread

That said, I recently set up for a CO account, and then got the CO card (similar Chase card that's $85/year, but waived the first year, etc), which I'm now using to get those bonus miles into the CO account, which I assume will eventually get converted to RDMs. That wasn't too tough to do, it just takes some patience between applying and then getting the card - took a month or so.

This thread is for the 60000 (50000 with first purchase) RDM bonus offer only - not for the regular 40000 RDM (25000 after first purchase) bonus.

Also, if you did not get the card earlier than Chase introduces the new card, you can get one bonus only.

I got the CO card just around the UA CARD intro. What is the best way to determine if I am still qualify for the UA CARD bonus?

I've had a MP Visa for many years. Got the CO card a few months ago. Last week got the new MP Explorer card w/50K bonus. I bet you'll have no problems getting the new bonus.

Hopefully my MP Visa Select product will last, it is the best one out of the three.

Since you got your CO card a few months ago, you should have no problem. I got mine just around the time when the new UA card was announced!

gary,

for the 60000 RDM bonus, do you have a 1-800 number to call in to apply? i understand that this 60k bonus is targeted but if there is a 1-800 number provided, I'd like to give it a go...

thx.

The link is in Post #1.

Also - if you are not a elite (which you have to login M+ before clicking that link), the original 40000 RDM offer stands.

Question 6 months

I received my last UA credit card in March of this year... do I need to wait the standard 6 months before applying for another card from Chase?

It takes about 7-10 days (possibly up to 14 days) to match.

It seems like Chase catched the loophole:

"This one-time bonus offer is only valid for first-time United MileagePlus Explorer cardmembers with new accounts. Previous and existing United Airlines cardmembers/accounts are not eligible for this bonus offer. United MileagePlus Explorer cardmembers will only receive one 50,000 bonus miles award if they apply for both the United Explorer Card and the Continental OnePass Plus Card after 7/19/2011."

From my post #15 of http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/16932941-post15.html

"This one-time bonus offer is only valid for first-time United MileagePlus Explorer cardmembers with new accounts. United MileagePlus Explorer cardmembers will only receive one 50,000 bonus miles award if they apply for both the United Explorer Card and the Continental OnePass Plus Card after 7/19/2011."

So it really depends on did you actually check T&Cs before you apply - to make sure that you did see "Previous and existing United Airlines cardmembers/accounts are not eligible for this bonus offer." has been added or not.

Can anyone here report that if they have gotten that or not? (I assume most FTers have a UA card before or existing.)

Sooner or later - if Chase does not honor this before the change - I will definite class action Chase.

You can apply at anytime you want - the issue will Chase approve and will you get another bonus?

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Can anyone confirm whether the miles are no longer available to existing United Mileage Plus Select cardholders? I received my Select card back in March.

Could be enough? That sounds like Delta!
