Court orders Bangladesh's United Airways to repaint fleet

Though we have a surplus tulip logo we can offer you...

Bangladeshi carrier United Airways has been ordered to repaint its fleet and change its brand after a court case brought by US major United Airlines.

Lawyers for United Airlines said the Dhaka-based operator had "illegally violated" its trademark and wrongly associated its services with those of the Star Alliance giant.

Yes. I can see how you can confuse the two carriers.

You Can Fly to KUL on "United" but...

... you will have to go to DAC first.

I was admiring the always magnificent photography of UA_Flyer on his latest TR, Work Visits in Kuala Lumpur & Singapore-A Galore of SQ Flights!, when I noticed a "United" logo on the picture of a board at KLIA listing the airlines serving KUL.

The only time I've been to KUL was on UA,

RDU-IAD-FRA(UA) + FRA-KUL-FRA (HL) + FRA-IAD-RDU (UA)

which was as close as i thought you could get (if not going via SIN).

Do these UA miles count after the merger? Do you get blankets on these UA flights? Warm nuts?

Obviously, this is all just covering up for the premature release of the secret UA/CO replacement livery. The "United" is actually rather jaunty.

Any chance that court could order the US-based United to repaint their planes back to the last Tulip-based livery? I mean, why stop at repainting just a few planes when you could fix a much bigger fleet?

What do you think about 4H, leishmaniac? I'm trying to decide if I should use them or BD for an upcoming trip between DAC and KTM -- or if I should avoid both and fly 9W via CCU DEL.
