Listening to the audio now, at any point does the pilot change to VFR because of instruments?

Trying to find info, one source says its a 319, others say 320.

Only pics I can see are only of the nose... and I can't quite make out the "ship" number..... looks like maybe 4708? IIRC, that would translate to N470UA?
Photos show a 320.

There are only a few descriptions that the website can show ... Emergency Landing is probably not one of the options.

The flight is being delayed because the aircraft to be used requires servicing. There is not a specific code for today's event.

It appears they will bring in another aircraft to operate the flight number that was assigned, hence the flight status.

The audio is really impressive. Poised, professional, efficient. Great stuff. Major ^ to the crew.

Ditto on the crew, excellent work.

However,

As a frequent flyer from SFO and on the 319/320's I've always wondered about the level of maintenance. I recognize that particular ship, in fact, I was on that particular airplane for a recent flight to LAX and we were delayed with numerous faults on the aircraft. There are a couple of 'buses in SFO the *really* look like they are put together from spare parts. Different cowlings, paintwork from 3 different liveries etc. Always gets me thinking that I hope they are maintained better mechanically than they are cosmetically.

Interesting to read the FAA report on this when it's published.
