Edit: no, it's not so safe-to-say after all. Some licenses on the complete list are newly issued, and it seems up to date. I guess UA C lounge license expired in June of this year then.
Oops. Is there rioting yet?

People won't be able to get their gasoline quality liquor and Miller Lite. Oh the horrors!

Actually, the real rotgut is gone. Unless, the problem is they were caught refilling the bottles in the back. Combining UA and EWR, nothing would surprise me.

When the Atlanta club initially reopened, they didn't have a license either. I was not a happy camper!

People should ask for drink vouchers to use outside of the club in the terminal.

I wonder if its a regulatory or company decision. Would assume the press will pick up on this quickly. I can't comment on NJ ABC activities, but California Query searches are individualy stated and you can access via Name (or subset of a name DBA, address or license #) good system..

Wow. I am embarrassed for UA. This is pretty bush league. Even for UA, who sets an pretty low bar overall.

Hysterical. And at EWR of all places where a stiff drink is an all but required survival tool.

Has any statement been made as to when they will be able to offer liquor again?

Yes, I would also be curious as to what United is saying when members complain. Anyone sent a note to 1K desk / Premiere desk / whatever yet?

If Sodexho owns the license, this is all on them, not on UA. UA bears the brunt as the customer-facing entity. When one works for a large corporation, there are always little things a contractor misses. Unfortunately.

Not defending UA, but really - placing blame on UA is just silly.

This is true, and it would likely trigger some sort of contractual penalty in UAL's favor. But United's the one with the PR problem here. Not a big deal in the scheme of things, especially if it is resolved today as they claim it will be, but in a hotly competitive market with social media exposure, the Twitter snaps of an empty back-bar are poor optics.

Sorry, but when an organization elects to outsource any part of their operation, they hold ultimate responsibility. It is a United Club...not a Sodexho club.

Just as I blame UA for United Express operation failures instead of starting a thread about sub-par Trans-States flights.
