Has United discontinued nonstop EWR to POS flights?

Not sure if this is a seasonable discontinuation of service, or if there is little or no demand for flights from Newark to Port of Spain. I cannot find any nonstop United flights from Newark to Port of Spain after May 9. I'm sure they existed last year as I spent Memorial Day weekend in POS. Now, all flights to POS seem to route via Houston and take all day rather than being an overnight flight that arrives early morning! To make matters worse, the UA/COPA flights are an equally dreadful schedule and are 10 times more expensive. Might be an option for May/June but certainly not after July 1 when COPA begins their own MP program and UA members are no longer eligible for PQD's and complimentary upgrades. Is this another change I'm going to like? NOT.

Before you jump down the "another change I'm not going to like" rabbit hole- remember that airlines have seasonal schedules. There is probably little demand for EWR-POS during the summer bc it is a winter destination, so they send that demand via IAH.

I am very sure that the disappearance of mileage runners on this route is responsible for the fewer direct EWR-POS flight.
