Extending GPUs Earned in 2013 that Expire on 31-Jan-2014?
It is that time of the year again...any experiences extending the GPUs earned in 2012 that will expire on 1/31/2014? (These are not the ones earned in 2011 that many had luck extending to 1/31/2014 - I am pretty sure most of us used them by now. If not, it would be very fair for UA to not extend these.)

Given UA provides GPUs earlier than before and they stay valid until the end of the elite year (Jan 31), UA's lifespan for GPUs are competitive. Doubt yu will see any extension.

can't say I've tried to extend any, but if you applied a 2012-earned GPU in June 2013 for a Dec 2013 flight and it never cleared, it would be pretty bogus if they only gave you 1 month to use it. not that UA cares about fair, but it seems the appropriate thing to do would be to put a 365 day expiration on them but suspend accrual while upgrades are waitlisted.

Will UA extend GPUs and RPUs when requalifying for 1K in 2014?
I will end the year with a few extra GPUs and RPUs. UA has extended SWU's for me when I re-qualed in past years. I don't know about RPUs at all, as I've never tried to reup them, nor do I know whether UA still extends GPUs. Does anybody have any insight into current practices?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Actually, one year I ended up with 2 unused GPUs that were going to expire before I could use them. Before that happened, a trip popped up two weeks after the expiration date. I bought the ticket, and called to see if I could get a 30 day extension on the GPUs, and they gave it to me. ^
