Thumbs up United Increasing $ Airport Meal Vouchers?

Not sure if this is system-wide or just at SFO, but it seems like those "sorry we screwed up and delayed you" meal vouchers have increased from $7 to $10 at SFO. I know $10 doesn't buy you much at an airport, but I guess this is an improvement from $7.

At times I have received two $7 vouchers "representing" one meal.
Interesting to see if that happens again.

When I requested meal vouchers for lunch in IAH, I was given two $7 vouchers.

I received two $7 vouchers at SFO recently for an oversold SFO -> SNA flight.

This would make sense. I think the median cost of a meal at EWR with the OTG takeover has probably gone up from $7 to $10-$12.

I got one $7 food voucher at LAX when UA blew my connection and forced an overnight.

And the quality seems to have gone down.

I tried to avoid it when possible, but at least the chains like Smashburger had some quality standards as opposed to the junk they have now.

Smashburger was the only reason I'd layover in EWR. It was the best thing about that miserable airport; and I miss it dearly.

The tablet ordering and payment is a big improvement, I can eat without saving 10 minutes to order and 10 min to pay my check. Otherwise it's just more expensive.

Lol I was about to just say maybe UA is now giving 1, $10 voucher vs 2, $7 vouchers.

Good that the vouchers allow to keep up with airport concession inflation.
< $ 10 does not feed a hungry soul during IRROPS.

For $7, I'd have to revert to Carl's jr. in T8.
