Thumbs up United Mileageplus Explorer card coming to Canada?

Got a survey link in my email, during the questions, a screen shows the detail of upcoming United Mileageplus Explorer card in Canada, thoughts?

And I believe this card was from CIBC, because:
1, It's a Visa
2, Previous question asked if I am a CIBC Aerogold user

^ I definitely hope that that's the case! Seeing as how I'm switching from Aeroplan over to Mileageplus, that would be very convenient.

Hopefully, the insurance and perks benefits will be as good as some of the cards I have currently (e.g., Lounge access as proposed in the survey above, trip/flight delay insurance, etc.).

This would be a welcome change in Canada for those that got fed up with AC.

Well I guess you missed the part that said not to publicly disclose some of the proposed benefits (since nothing's official yet), right? :-)

Got the same survey. Found it to be badly designed: they never asked why I didn't appreciate some of the benefits they inquire about when the (simple) answer is that I am already a lowly Premier Silver, so I already get those.

That being said, if the card ever makes it to this side of the border and eventually offers better CPU odds, I'd be all for it. :-)

Yeah...didn't go through the terms, my bad Screenshots removed, but at least people know it's coming.
For most of the questions, I chose the negative answers. Because I am *G and got all the group2 / bags things, and my current CA/US AMEX reward point can be convert to Aeroplan, especially my US PRG card give me 3x point when purchasing from UA and all other carriers.

Wink New Chase Card.

As if Air Canada does not need another nail in its coffin. This would push a lot more people to switch to United...
Cant wait for the card to come out.
Oh it is a Chase card...

nice!

well i've already made the switch from AC to UA this year. ditching AC elite for UA gold. If i had this card, it would be sweet, especially keeping the same terms as our US counterparts wow

how so? it doesn't get you more than gold does. Just the points.

And of course, it costs more than the US card.

Couple issues here:

15000 sign up - come on.
First year without a fee waiver?

Definitely should be at least 30K, and even 50K that our American counterparts receive on a regular basis.

I get pestered by Chase Canada for the Marriott and Amazon.ca cards already. No-fee USD transactions, and I'll definitely sign up!
