Not eligible. But then again I'm sure CO/the new UA knows they got me hook line and sinker. As long as they fly out of Love Field, I will be flying them.

I live in Dallas, told AA back in 2001, I will never step foot on their planes ever again and I'm a man of my word. Don't like Delta. US Air goes nowhere I need to go. Southwest doesn't have First Class. So for better or for worst, looks like me and the new UA are stuck like chuck.

I got: Earn 5,000 bonus award miles for 2 roundtrips, 10,000 bonus award miles for 3 roundtrips and a maximum of 25,000 bonus award miles for 5 roundtrips.

This would have pushed me over the top for some mileage runs I've been considering, but availability for them isn't really until September. Gotta look into other things.

Didn't get the email (or at least not yet), but was in my account, and the promo was there in the MileagePlus news and offers section (airline tab). I got the 1/2/4 offer. Gold this year, but I've traditionally been a silver.

My wife, a silver, didn't have the promo in the same place in her account, so I guess she isn't eligible.

I received the offer as a 1K based in LAX for:
5,000 miles for 6 RT
10,000 miles for 7 RT
25,000 miles for 8 RT

Based on the offer numbers I see on this post, it seems like it might also be geographically targeted in addition to status.

You might be right. I got 7/8/9 as a Bay area based 1k with 52k PQM, the only difference is I had 2 roundtrips on UA post merger.

Wow for once I got the juicy end of a promo!

5,000 miles for 1 round trip
10,000 miles for 2 round trips
25,000 miles for 4 round trips

That's 6,250 each on avg....makes those IAD-YOW wSavers almost worth it. 8,250 miles valued at 1.5 cents is $123 in miles.....making the ticket only $100. Bargain!

I don't see that, and hope not. I pretty much live on ExpressJet lately doing IAD-YOW.

Question Ticket and Fly AFTER Registration?

Questions...

1 - The fineprint has Ticketing Period and Travel Period that started 4/15 but it also says "register for the offer before travel, then purchase and complete paid qualifying roundtrips". So, do you need to ticket after registration or simply travel after registration?

2 - When I look at the page that has the promo, it says "Valid Thu., Apr. 26, 2012 - Sun., Jul. 15, 2012 (Time Remaining: 81 days)" - how does this factor into the answer for #1?

3 - on http://www.united.com/web/en-US/apps...s/airline.aspx - it listed the promo's Post Date as April 9, 2012. I guess we should get into the habit of looking at the promo page?

4 - Do they really wait until the end of the promotion + 6-8 weeks to award the bonuses or they do it incrementally as you meet the criteria?

Thanks.

Strange/Non-existent Logic

I got 3/4/6 as a silver with 6k PQM flown and 24k booked. The booked flights are 3 trips in May and June (2 of which were booked before 4/15). So though I doubt I’ll get any bonuses, I think this promo is well calibrated to encourage me to significantly increase my flying, since I’m at or above my historic average and would have to strive to meet the requirements. Given that, I figured my girlfriend would get the same, if not a better offer. She was a silver in 2011 but didn’t requal and has 0 PQM flown and 18k booked. It seems like she would be better matched for this promo than me, at least from UA’s perspective, since her flying has fallen off some. No luck. And I can’t see the logic of including me and excluding her.

Targeted offer, 5000 RDMs per round trip?

Just got this email, it doesn't really add up. It says 5000 bonus RDMs for first, up to 25000 for maximum of four round trips. If its 5000/round trip, max is 20,000 RDMs as bonus?

Or does the fourth r/t give you 10,000 miles?

http://www.unitedmapyourdreams.com/

The email has a personalized link, but points to above web site.

Excludes open jaws, and a lot of my flights are open-jaws.. Wonder if that affected anything.

the bonus increases with each RT
1 RT is 5K
2 RT is 10K (5K more)
4 RT is 25K (15K more)

3 RT will stay at the 10K total. effectively no additional bonus if just 3.

Others are getting different terms.

Since this applies to the merged operations probably best to discussion in the thread started earlier today in the consolidated forum

Meh.
5,000 bonus award miles - 7 roundtrips
10,000 bonus award miles - 8 roundtrips
25,000 bonus award miles - 9 roundtrips

Pretty pathetic. Silver with 35K already and 15K more booked. I guess they figure there's no motivation for me to do any more.

Same boat as you, brother! I've already flown and booked too much for them to try and entice me with a decent offer.

worked for me.

I have not received any mail, but I followed the link you supplied and it appears to accept my M+#. I read it as 5,000 RDM after 8 round trips, another 5k (10k total) after 9, and another 15k (25k total) after 10 r/t.

Unfortunately, most of my travels are circles and open jaws. Even though I have 11 segments booked in May, none are round trips on UA.
