Gatwick Connect service

I haven't seen any thread for London's Gatwick Connect service, offered by Gatwick Airport.

I have learned that as of this week, you can now use this service when flying EasyJet (in addition to Norwegian and Virgin Atlantic, previously available).

Here's the link to the info, from Gatwick's twitter:

Essentially (and pls correct me if I'm wrong), what the Gatwick Connect service appears to offer is a bag drop desk (for a second flight) located in the baggage reclaim hall.

Yes - providing your onward flight is easyJet, Virgin Atlantic or norwegian.
You can arrive on a flight operated by anyone.

It also works across terminals, so you can arrive in North, bag drop straight off the belt, then continue to south terminal without dragging the bag.

I have also raised a question about bag-tags, given the desk is prior to customs, and the mixed-reclaim belt area.
