One way upgrade to business
Experts,
I am planning to upgrade my one way NRT-IST-SFO ticket to business with M&S miles. Will I be paying miles for upgrading NRT-SFO? Or will I have to pay
for miles twice for NRT-IST plus IST-SFO? I know I should call to ask, but I am afraid that the CS may not know and ask me to pay more miles than needed.
Thus, it seems to me better consault people have experience with such upgrade here first.
thanks for the advise

Should be 67.5K for a Far East to North America upgrade. Pretty good deal...

Unfortunately, few of us can understand TK's own particular version of English.
I do know that upgrades apply to both flights on a LHR-IST-NRT - i.e. you don't need to pay separate amounts of miles for each flight upgraded - so I don't really see why it would be any different for a NRT-IST-SFO, as long as you aren't doing a stopover in IST.
