Heading out north of Vancouver, I made my way to Squamish and even though I was not able to do any climbing, I did hike up the great Panorama Ridge just next to the Black Tusk, overlooking Garibaldi Lake. It was a great hike with a nice surprise in the morning

Hitch hiking from Vancouver to Seattle, I quickly made my way out of the big cities and into the nature again, hiking the 93 miles (150km) trail around active volcano Mt Rainier, offering some magnificent views on the glaciers and great surrounding landscapes.

While I did not manage to play any live poker in Vegas, I saw Thrice live at least and had a very enjoyable time with our Couchsurfing host who took us out to see an awesome sunset before heading out to the Grand Canyon National Park.

Leaving Vegas, we were hitch hiking to the Grand Canyon and spent a night on the South Rim campsite in Grand Canyon Village. Driving along the rim offered some spectacular views and it was a shame we did not have the time to hike all the way to the North Rim.. Next time I suppose!
