Open-door Helicopter photo shoot (TWICE), FS Seychelles, Maalifushi Maldives and more
Life is short and the world around us is not becoming a happier place...
See as much as possible before it's too late, that's my life motto.
I'm not great at writing elaborated intros and stories full of jokes.
But... I take A LOT of pictures. And they are pretty good LOL
Our itinerary:
************************************************** ********
1. Maldives - new Maalifushi by COMO resort
2. Maldives - Park Hyatt Hadahaa
3. Seychelles - La Digue, including 2 open-door heli shoots
4. Seychelles - Four Seasons Mahe
5. Dubai - The Palace Downtown
6. Abu Dhabi - Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri
Our travel involved a lot of different types of transport, from the commercial jets
to sea-planes, boats, yachts and helicopters. We connected through Abu Dhabi
as Etihad flies to all those destinations and is by far the most convenient
for travels from North America. Recently they started flying direct from LAX which
made this trip so easy. It still is a very long journey LOL.
This is gonna be a photo trip report, lots of pictures!

Maldives - new Maalifushi by COMO resort
As you know Maldives consists of many tiny islands, each of them being a separate resort.
The choice is difficult as there is so many (almost 150). We wanted to see 2 different ones
and picked Maalifushi for the beautiful lagoon and Park Hyatt for the amazing house reef.
Maalifushi by COMO is simply stunning. Its new and clean, but whats most important
is the friendliness of everybody here. I guess an amazing place like this makes you happy

Transfer from Maalifushi to Park Hyatt was a logistical nightmare. I missed it when I was planning
the trip, but thanks to many local brains, some domestic connections, but most of all - AMAZING
help from Maalifushi guys - we made it! They offered us a boat lift to the closest domestic
airport and because of inconvenience, they gave us an amazing yacht.
The ocean was very calm and this was an absolute joy.
Plus I have never seen clouds like that!

Park Hyatt Hadahaa is famous for the underwater world. The island is super tiny,
you are surrounded by a giant aquarium. The ocean was so quiet and flat - it looked more like Amazon river.
Visibility - perfect.

After 5 days on La Digue we flew back to Mahe. We decided to repeat
the open-door heli experience as it was simply amazing and I know we will
not come back here anytime soon.
I tried to get a different kind of frames and the light was different too,
so it was actually a different experience! Just a small sample of my pictures
as I took more than 500 shots during this flight.

We are landing at the tiny helipad at Resort Kempinski. No, this is not our hotel,
but its the closest helipad to what is being revealed to be one of the most amazing places
we have ever seen. Four Seasons Resort Mahe. An unbelievable place.
Our villas location is the highest, the view from the extended terraces - to die for.
Clouds, yes, they are still magnificent LOL.
The friendliest people are welcoming us to this paradise.

How did you fly from the Maldives to the Seychelles?
Are there direct flights?
They say the best time to visit Seychelles is in the summer and Maldives I think in the winter?
How much is the helicopter ride?
Did you go on an AA award with Ethihad?
