Stunning photos (as usual) to another interesting place. I hadn't given Muscat much thought before but seems like a really interesting and beautiful place to visit. Great report DanielW!

Great pics indeed, makes me very jealous and wanting to return. I was there 10 years ago and found the country incredibly fascinating. Thanks for taking the time to post.

Thanks, sfoactuary, a bit different from my normal trips, but was good to try a new angle.

Thank you, shogunate03. Yes, quite a different vibe than the other Gulf cities. Definitely worth checking out.

I've seen another really good TR of Oman. Gotta put it on the list...
Thank you, farbster. Yes, definitely have to add Oman to your list. Looks like GHM have a great hotel in Muscat too.

Great Report. Bookmarked for future use.

Just curious, did you find these restaurants randomly, or were they arranged previously with a marketing team?

Very cool. Thanks for sharing. I bet they wish they hadn't given you that chipped plate.

Many thanks, Hartmann. I used a Canon 5D3 with the 50L, 16-35L II & 70-200L II lenses.

Thank you, isaifan. The writer I was working with visited the previous month, so I went to the places she had selected to write about.

Your photography is gorgeous! Kudos on your talent and skill.
Most who see professional-caliber photos have NO idea what it takes.
But damn you: now I have to go back through each of your prior trip reports. Binge-FTing...

DaneilW,
Thanks for another great report. Always enjoy reading your adventure while you’re doing your job as a photo journalist. Great photos.
BTW, the food at First Bite looked fab! Did you get to taste some?

Thank you, allset2travel. I didn't get to try the dishes, I'm guessing there's some kind of unofficial rule for that when photographing food. I did get to try the lemon-mint drink at Kargeen cafe and take a few goodies home from 'Love at first bite' and from Salma's Chocolates though:

Given the quality of your pictures, I'm not surprised to find you shooting pictures for a magazine. I really liked the picture of the Al Bahr Restaurant that they chose for the cover showing camels on the beach. Were the camels part of the set up? And the lemon mint drink looked delicious.
