Thank you to everyone for the feedback!
Yes, I believe it was on offer at the Local Cave House Hotel and Symbola and I enjoyed the small bit that I tried. That may also have been true at the Radisson Blu Bosporus, but I could have easily overlooked it given the size of the spread there.
Understood; next time I'm at a location that offers them, I won't allow anything to get in the way of trying it out!
Thanks; I'm only aspiring to your level of epic trip report greatness. I was shooting with an Olympus OMD-EM5. My lenses are the:
-The 12-42 mm Olympus kit lens
-An Olympus f/1.8, 45 mm prime
-A Rokinon 8 mm fish-eye for micro 4/3's
That's certainly true, although I kind of enjoy the excitement of such a small plane for the 45 minute hop from Toronto to Detroit.

Nice report. Once again I am thoroughly impressed with the presentation of the food ex-IST. For daytime flights they usually use a tray less service and serve up all the courses table side from a trolley. Did they do that or were all the dishes assembled in the galley?
By the looks of it at least the presentation looks as if it had been assembled in the galley.

Great report. I don't think I've ever seen a "candlelight dining" on an airplane. Kudos to TK. I am getting excited for a short 3 day stay in Istanbul and TK business back to JFK next month.

what beautiful pictures
Thanks so much for sharing the great pictures and very useful info in this report, especially the multi-hour breakfast at the Radisson Blu. How nice it must have been to enjoy your food and read a good book in such a picturesque setting. I am flying on TK from DXB to IST this fall. I am spending 4 days there and only wish I had time to go parasailing like you did. That's on my bucket list.
