Arrow Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa 747-8 first class to Asia and Europe!

Hi Guys,

A couple of months ago I managed to take advantage of Singapore's "glitch" whereby they released a bunch of first class award space as they switched over reservations systems. I managed to combine this with a flight on Lufthansa's brand new 747-8 on the return, and visits to Bali and Berchtesgaden, which are two of my favorite places on earth. You can find the links to the trip report installments below:

Introduction
Singapore Airlines First Class Houston to Moscow
International Business Lounge Moscow
Singapore Airlines First Class Moscow to Singapore
Singapore Airlines Business Class Singapore to Bali
InterContinental Bali
Exploring Bali
W Retreat Bali Seminyak
Singapore Airlines Business Class Bali to Singapore
The Singapore Airlines Private Room Singapore
Singapore Airlines First Class Singapore to Frankfurt
InterContinental Berchtesgaden & Surrounding Areas
Le Meridien Parkhotel Frankfurt
Lufthansa First Class Terminal Frankfurt
Lufthansa 747-8 First Class Frankfurt to Washington Dulles
Westin Washington Dulles Airport

Thanks for reading and any comments/questions are welcome!

Thanks, Lucky! Another great TR!

I stayed at the Westin Dulles a while back and thought the service was phenomenal. When I checked in, I got to talking with the front desk agent about the hotel industry. We really hit it off and gave me an upgrade to the same type of suite room you stayed in and he also gave me free breakfast, despite the fact that I have no status with Starwood.

What a fantastic read, and love the photos!

Singapore really shows how F should be! I may 'borrow' a few of their touches and try and surprise a few of my BA F customers!

Inspiring!

Kind regards

LH F on the 747-8 looks absolutely amazing. I'm continually impressed by the food quality and service standards. One day.....

I don't know why SQ limit Caviar to only "dinner", cost cutting?

You had the best combinations in your report: LH new F on the new airplane 748i and the SQ wonderful F on the 77W ^^

Nothing better than that.

Hope to be on one of your flights some day!

Yeah, surprised me as well. At the very least I was hoping for satay, as all my previous flights have had either satay or caviar in first class (and sometimes both). That was a bit disappointing.

Great report, Lucky. ^

I didn't get in on the SQ glitch awards, but I'm hoping that I can use some of my AMEX points for a trip soon.

Come to the USA, open a few American Express cards, get the points bonuses, then head back to Norway
