Delivering a brand new B777-300 to British Airways: G-STBF.

**DISCLAIMER: expectation management. if you haven't done a public tour of Boeing at Everett, please beware that tour doesn't allow floor access or photography on the level of this report**

As some of you already know, BA invited a group of FT members for the delivery of their latest 777-300 aircraft last month.
Continentalclub has already posted an eloquent marvelous piece of writing about the trip.
I simply do not have such a great way with words in English and will just post photos instead...

The bus pickin us up at SEATAC.

We'll start at the Museum of Flight, just south of Seattle. This is also the location of Renton, the Boeing 737 plant.

A model of the original Boeing Factory, which was moved from the Seattle harbour to the Museum location

Thanks for the pictures - I'll be up at BFI this weekend and am taking my boy to the museum (again !) The WW1 and WW2 exhibits are also worth a look at.

Blimey - I can remember visiting that exact part of the museum with Conc and AF1 in September 2005 - if I remember, it was a little walk down the road from the main part of the museum. Glad you had a good trip. Lucky g*t!

Thanks for sharing...

No 4. Will be scrapped or sold to a private owner as it is too heavy for viable commercial airliner use.

AWACS

Back inside the main building

Don't mess with the rocket

Blackbird engine. Powerful little thing

For sure I bought one! And the 747-8 model also And there was a 787 official Boeing Lego! 700 pieces, with retracting gear. For a man who has a son nearing two, and himself was an avid Lego builder until the age of 15, well words cannot describe it. Yeah, I bought it. It is available online at a certain store.

Designated driver

Next, the Boeing plant at Paine Field with unique exclusive photos from inside the production lines.

When I was growing up I was absolutely fascinated by the Blackbird - still an amazing looking aircraft.

The condition of the City of Everett 747 makes me a little sad. For such a beautiful and significant aircraft they could do some better upkeep. And it's mental to think that 787 may just be scrapped.

Also a bit odd that they have a Concorde in a Boeing museum...

After the museum visit the group headed back to Down Town Seattle to collect our stuff at the hotel. Boeing took us up north to a town called Lynnwood were we meet up with 30 or so BA staff who had been rewarded by the company for excellent work and achievements the past year. The crew for the G-STBF delivery flight also joined, including our Skippers Tim and Rod, plus BA Director of Operations. It was a memorable evening with many new friends and plenty of fun. The following morning, one of the most special days in our lives was about to begin. First up, a guided VIP tour of the Boeing Everett factory and we were allowed to pictures of everything, except for the 787 production line. Fantastic.

747-8i

747-8 cargo

747-8 body assembly

767 wings

APU's

It looks tiny. And it did in the worlds largest building by cubic meters.

Next, the 777-300 production line...

I just realized I flew STBF this past Friday from JFK. Beautiful aircraft and the CW seats were sparkling.

Thanks for the photos Petrus- I really want that 748i. Sigh...

The images belong to Petrus. G-STBE is my darling

Sensational images. What is the aircraft, seventh image down from the top? The one adorned in BA livery. Its a sexy beast. Would love to fly in that one day ^
