New Booking Class Availability Tool

SeatCounter displays fare class availability.
Very simple to use, and allows you to sort results by the number of seats left in a fare class.

Just the tool I was looking for. Time for me to update the original post.

here's a suggestion

www.igougo.com for travel related journals written mostly by amateurs and travel deals. American Airlines miles are among the long list of available bonuses for posting on this site.

Have found this website, www.flightnetwork.com
It is a Canadian based online travel agency, but is great for net fares to everywhere but within Canada (there aren't any for domestic flights)
It is best to know the schedule of the airline that you are searching for, as it lists all the fares offered, and then after selecting the airline it searches if there is anything available. I have found fares from yvr-oz for less than cad1000.00 RT using this web site.

wow, just noticed this thread

very good info

one thing, not sure if anyone mentioned it, about pricegrabber.com, when they list the flights, they show the on-time rating, and average delay times for that particular flight. pretty nifty!

www.hotelscomparison.com

Voted the best hotels comparison website by The Sunday Times
( London ) - I always use it for hotels throughout the world and it's always found me the best deal.
Highly recommended.
