Aircraft Registration Numbers - Resources
For those of us that like to keep a log of aircraft tail numbers, but for some reason can't retrieve the number on the day itself or are looking for historical data, there are several resources out there which might help:
http://flightaware.com/
http://data.flight24.com
http://www.libhomeradar.org/databasequery/
http://www.antonakis.co.uk/acars.php?page=request
http://www.acarsd.org/acars_search.html
http://apps.bts.gov/xml/ontimesummar.../src/index.xml (for US)
http://www.landings.com/
http://wandr.me/bts/
http://www.lhr-lgw.co.uk/
http://www.thebasource.com/flighttracker.html
What was formerly http://casper.frontier.nl/
I've compiled these from many threads on this and other websites that I've trawled through. Very rarely however do any of these return the info I'm looking for. I've tried all of these manually but still have dozens of registration numbers I can't track down. The flights are mostly in Europe, with some in Asia, and range from September 2005 to September 2014. Does anyone have any insights / solutions?

Yup. I'm one. Pretty cool (in my opinion) to find out that the AA 737 I flew BOS-DFW last Saturday was the same one I flew SEA-DFW 18 months ago. Then you get people like Seat 2A who've spent more time on some airframes than most aircrew.

I like finding out what happens to airframes I've travelled on which are retired or transferred to another airline, put into storage, changed livery etc. e.g. just flew B-17919 which is very soon to be retired and transferred to DL for spare parts - interested to follow developments on that one! ^ (also discovered this aircraft slid off the runway at KHH in 2000 in heavy rain...)

n.b. The link above is to my blog or to one which I am a regular contributor. FT rules require that I disclose that in the post.

If you want a cleaner (IMO) interface into this data check out my resource at http://wandr.me/bts/. You can pick a specific city pair and date and get just those flights.
