Now,I will always fly with a mask

Especially so with the recent news of passengers travelling from Hong Kong to Vancouver with Avian flu and moreso with the increase in cases of highly contagious measles in North America.

Cool.
You realize millions travel each day without getting sick, right?

Are you going to wear this mask on the subway, in restaurants, while shopping, etc? You have a higher chance of catching it that way.

Its precisely because there's a HUGELY INCREASED risk, whilst travelling on an enclosed, sealed tube with regurgitated air ,of catching an infection....that I have made my decision. You can't open the window or walk away like you can whilst shopping,on a bus, subwayblah, blah, blah

I really wish the myth that airplanes are completely sealed from the outside would go away.

Some people need to turn off the cable news.

Not sure why you would think that is in any way a valid comparison.

The air is constantly being circulated with a 50:50 mix so there is always more fresh air being fed in. The recycled air is HEPA filtered.

To compare it to a pool, it would be like a constant mix of 50% fresh water and 50% filtered recirculated water being poured in with the same amount being removed.

A bus/subway would likely have far lower air circulation.
