OT: Alex flies to Dubrovnik

In today's Alex cartoon the City's most prolific luncher prepares to fly to Dubrovnik...

That's a little bit harsh on Dubrovnik, not that it's my favourite place.

Funny but I agree with EuropeanPete that it is harsh on Dubrovnik. Nice enough for a weekend.

City was founded in the 7th century and it is on UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.....
I am not Croat, but this is not OK. To said that Dubrovnik is Balkan dump is way over the line, even for cartoon.
Just look for cruise travel itineraries....almost regular stop for most cruise lines to or from Venice.

Mmmmm. Cruises. Alex. Its one of the points of the strip that Alex is a snob.

They don't really go together

And actually, telling me most cruise lines go there just move it lower down my list of 'places to see'.

The guy drawing Alex so gets the whole banker/financial service employee chasing status on the company dime though

My brother loved Dubrovnik... but he had to fly Norwegian to get there (he enjoyed the flight but it didn't do much for the household avios balance)
