Flights between similarly named airports

Hi,
Many airports and cities worldwide have similar or identical names, making interesting sounding worldwide itineraries. I am looking for a pair of similar sounding cities/airports that have a DIRECT flight between them. Here are some examples of similar sounding airports with no direct connection:
OAK/AKL
LON/YXU
MAN/MHT
ATL/TBS (Capital of Georgia)
YYZ/ONT
LED/SPG

Here are some pairs that have direct flights but only kinda work:
AMS/JFK (Amsterdam - New Amsterdam)
IAD/DFW (Dulles - Dallas)

Anyone can think of anything better?

Countless stories of travellers who mix them up when booking:

I call bogus on ATL/TBS, as they would never get confused by a geography-challenged ticket agent. Also, nobody has called NYC New Amsterdam in a few hundred years.

How about

CDG/PRX (Paris, FRA - Paris, TX)

Back a few years ago, at the DTW there was a flight to Portland, Oregon and Portland, ME going out in adjacent gates, around adjacent times. I want to say it was wayyy back in the day, just after the new terminal opened, as I think it was a small regional going out of A, where you walked down and out into it, back before B/C was completed totally.

I remembered laughing.

Yep, CHS-CRW on US. Can't get more similar than exact (at least for city names, doubt the airport name is the exact same)!

Even then, you'd still have to transit in DCA/CLT. But that's the closest we'll get methinks.

Edit: Columbus OH to Columbus GA on Delta via ATL also works.

Hopefully the gate agent checked passengers' BPs well on that one. It's just been in the past two years or so where I frequently hear FAs announce something to the effect of "if you're not suppose to be headed to (destination), it's time to leave the plane" once all passengers are on board.

Another game is to work out city pairs where the codes differ by a single letter: IAD-IAH, SAN-SAT, SAT-FAT etc., extra points for non-stop flights

In the mid 80's (April, 1985 IIRC), a young student thought he was flying LAX-OAK. He was coming in from Germany & mistakely got on the Auckland flight. He spend a day in Auckland waiting for the return flight to LA. The airline flew him back to LA for free.

AGS-AUG (needs multiple connections) Augusta GA/ME

JAX-OAJ (connect in ATL or CLT) Jacksonville FL/NC

SPI-SGF (connect in ORD) Springfield IL/MO

PTY-ECP (connect in ATL) Panama City, Panama/FL

Then of course, there's "Greenville" which could mean GSP, GLH, or PGV (SC/MS/NC) but AFAIK no non-stop flight exists between any of them.

Likewise, "Albany" can be ALB, ALH, or ABY (NY/Australia/GA). Again, no non-stop service to speak of.

On a related note, BOS-BIL would be a flight between two "Logan Airports" but no direct service exists, not surprisingly.
