Notification tool for new file arrivals (ftp)
Hi gang!
I need some kind of ftp spider that can be limited to search only a couple of ftp servers. What I need is a software that (it will run on a W2K3 server):
-Scans my predefined ftp-servers
-Sends an email when:
a)A new directory is created
b)Contents in a directory has been updated (the time stamp will reflect this)
My usually good google powers seems to have failed me and I only managed to find one such software "You Got Files!" from Niwot Networks. The basic version costs $95 for two years but it only covers two servers, I would prefer a few more. Also it is command based and not entirely easy to setup and troubleshoot.
I don't mind paying, but I want a rock solid solution since I now have to manually check the servers several times a day and usually notices updates a bit too late.
