"Open" Music Downloads
Amazon.com has started offering Mp3 downloads that are DRM free. Most songs are .89 or .99 cents. The songs can be copied and played on anything that will play Mp3s without the hassle of worrying about a license file working.

I'm encouraged by the trend but selection is limited...similar to eMusic
Simple examples based on my own preferences:
* no Fleetwood Mack tracks
* no mainstream Kelly Clarkson (Karaoke??)
* no Dido
