Anohter vote for matte - easier to watch at and minmal glare. Colour calibrate it, and its a beauty.
Gloss can be way too annoying for me.

Our two new home laptops have glossy. They aren't bad glarewise. Most of our lighting at home is diffused at the ceiling and I haven't tried my new one on the road yet.
My work VAIO has matte and I like it because there's lots of glare at my desk and in the labs.
I also have a 3M security filter and it has a semi-matte finish. I have to use it for the work machine and will get one for my personal. No glare issues on aircraft or with office lighting. It does, however, make the screen a little dimmer because of the tinting.

Depending where you will use that thing mostly. If you travel with it ( I suppose as the is FT) take a glossy unit, try to work outside and decide for yourself.
Good luck finding the mouse pointer or anything to click on.
IMO glossy screens are nice for movies, games in indoor environment. But this begs the question why not having a desktop to begin with, but that's another topic.

My work Dell is Matte and personal Dell is Glossy...and that's the best combination. You'll find Glossy is great for movies and games etc. but for emailing, whilst Glossy isn't bad, it's nowhere near as easy to use as Matte. Personally, I'm glad I opted for Glossy but the reflection can be annoying - unless of course you love looking at yourself..!

Given a choice I'd stick with matte. If the model I wanted otherwise had no choice, though, I'd settle for glossy.
