CDMA Phone WIFI Works in Europe??

CDMA Phone WIFI Works in Europe??

Sorry for the dumb question, but... I know a CDMA smartphone will not make phone calls in Europe, but, can you still use the WIFI in Europe with such a phone??

If your phone has WiFi capability, then the answer is yes.

Yes, just put it on airplane mode to save on battery, and switch on the WiFi radio (and bluetooth and/or GPS if you need it.)

Just as an FYI, if you have Verizon many of their newer smartphones have GSM capabilities, to play it safe you won't want to turn on the cellular radios until you're back in your home area.

Republic Wireless

If your phone is from Republic Wireless and you are connected to wifi, no matter where you are you can receive and make phone calls and texts at your regular phone number.
