It's a glorified wireless router that prioritizes WiFi Calling network traffic. It still utilizes your home broadband connection. I was hoping it would be a femtocell with a wifi router built-in. Regardless, pretty sweet it's basically free for T-Mobile customers.

Call T-Mo, ask to speak to tech support. Explain your coverage difficulties. They will perform some steps with you, collect info from your devices, etc. and then they will send you a kit, free of charge. You just have to agree to return it if you cancel/no longer need it.

I was hoping Uncarrier 7.0 was going to fix that. Sadly, it didn't.

I'm looking for a phone that uses the 700Mhz band. I have not seen any so far. Where do I look for this specification? So far I have been looking at the bands mentioned under the various types of networks like here:

There are several LTE 700 MHz bands: 12, 13, 14, 17, 28, and 44.
Phones sold by the relevant carriers will support them. Looks like T-mobile US uses band 12.

T-Mobile uses band 12 for 700mHz transmission. I believe only four phones currently have that.

you should verify with another source, preferably the manufacturer's website to be 100% sure
anyways, band 13 is almost exclusively used by Verizon (plus some minor carriers). 17/12 used by AT&T/T-mobile. 25+26+41 used by Sprint ("Sprint Spark") and some Japanese networks
