Cool How to stop video autoplay?

There are a few sites out there like abcnews.com that automatically start videos. I've googled, and can't find how to stop this. I primarily use Firefox with ........ I'm sure it's easy and someone can let me know.....

Thanks,

Doc

What tipped me over the edge was that I couldn't pause the damn videos on ABC news anymore.

Another vote for flashblock. It makes web pages much better behaved.

I just wish people who put up web content would not be so annoying. I'm really quite over websites that have the dadburned useless meebo bar clogging up the screen. Don't get me started on websites that put an obnoxious bar on the top that does nothing but steal screen real estate.

Use NoScript. No one should surf the web without it (unless you enjoy 3rd party advertisers running JavaScript to track you all over the internet).

Ghostery might be another add-on too then. Has a long list of trackers and cookies that it blocks.
