Briggs Expansion Feature Collapses
I love Briggs & Riley but just bought a new Baseline CX Expandable Upright - Medium U125CX.
It seems the expansion system has changed based on the older B&R bag I currently own. Any small amount of pressure causes the expansion system to collapse. It seems the locking mechanism is weaker. The same thing happens on both sides.
Am I doing something wrong? Any experiences?

I have the U122CX and I believe that the suitcase is performing as designed.
The intended use is to expand the case large enough to easily fit all your belongings and zip the compartment closed. You are then supposed to "compress" the compartment down to the smallest reasonable volume, where the notches should then remain locked.
I don't believe that the compression mechanisms are intended to be a structural support for when you expand the suitcase but then don't pack it full.
