How do you carry your boarding pass?
I usually tuck my boarding pass and passport in the side pockets of carry-on luggage since they have to be shown at immigration, security checkpoints, lounges, etc. My passport is pretty hardy but the BP is sometimes in a sorry state by boarding time. And I thought they would be obsolete by now. There must be a more elegant and efficient way to carry boarding passes. Travel wallet? Ground staff escort?

Well, I do usually print out a backup copy, which I generally keep in one of the outside pockets of my carry-on

Since I credit all of my miles to AS but fly ~60% on AA/DL metal, I usually print a boarding pass at the kiosk in case I need to make a mileage request if something doesn't credit correctly (has only happened once, and that was on a re-route where I was endorsed from AA over to DL). I usually place the printed BP in my briefcase and then revert to the mobile boarding pass for security and boarding. I then trash 2-3 trips worth of BPs it the next time I clean out my briefcase.

When airlines first allowed self-printed and smartphone BPs I had problems using them at some airports so I never tried again. I've had check-in luggage in 90% of my flights in the past few years so I must stop at the check-in counter anyway.
No one has one of those Smythson travel wallets? A few of them have caught my eye. I find passport covers cumbersome and never use but they're so pretty. A longer wallet would take care of the BP too.
I usually toss my BPs in the nearest recycling bin shortly after flights but after a partner flight failed to credit to DL once, I'm even saving check-in luggage receipts (which DL was willing to take instead of a BP stub in that case).

Is the boarding pass such a bulky item that we need to consider its packing accomodations? I stuff mine in my pocket except for the 3 seconds I usually need it, unless I do an electronic one.
