Ultra Slim Leather brief for a Mac Book Air 13"?

Hi,

Looking to see if anyone has found a good solution for a Macbook air 13". I've been searching for months for a bag that is minimalistic and is nice that will fit the Macbook air 13". With the following:

1) Made of nice leather
2) Shoulder strap
3) Thin, it should hold the MBA, plus an iPad plus a few cables and a magazine.
4) ideally have the thing where I can put it over the handle on my rolling bag's handle.

Anyone found anything along these lines? I'm getting to the point of finding someone to make one for me.

thanks!
Scott

Tumi Beacon Hill Branch Slim Laptop Brief.

Will hold a small laptop (they say up to 14" screen; up to 0.5 inches thick). No sleeve for a tablet but there is a separate pocket for documents that will obviously hold an iPad and a magazine.

Total thickness 2 inches.

Tumi makes a couple of nice leather options in the Alpha collection as well. The slim is pretty small but might be what you are looking for in overall thickness. The expandable slim will cover your needs well and give you room to grow when needed.

I have both the leather and ballistic version of the slim expandable but don't carry either. The leather looks great but adds ~1.5 lbs to the overall weight of the bag. I chose to go another route with this vertical tote. http://www.tumi.com/product/index.js...ndSrc=paramNav It gives me all of the room I need, looks rather european and keeps me from loading the darn thing up. Bad back and lots of miles = light brief.

I second the Tumi.

If you can't find anything, you can probably have it made. Usually, if I can't find something that suits me, I'll just have someone make it.

Slim Alpha is nice (I have in ballistic, slimmer non-expandable version) but no dedicated laptop pocket, padding, etc. Beacon Hill is a bit more refined looking, but both nice.

+1 on the additional weight. The Beacon Hill also has those meaty zippers that look nice but add weight. I've never handled the bag, just saw someone carrying it and liked what I saw enough to look it up.

Waterfield designs and Tucano do minimalist sleeves, cases, and bags for specifically for particular Mac products. Some of their stuff is leather and might meet your criteria.

I would say, that what you are really looking for is a Toffee bag:

You can also look at their other cases:

http://www.toffeecases.com/en/search..._query=macbook

I was on a lengthy quest to find something like that, because while I have an excellent Tumi bag for my laptop (and many other Tumi products), what I really wanted, was a slim bag, that I could stick into either a Tumi backpack, or a Redoxx AirBoss (I'm a rabid one bagger), and be able to go to a meeting at my destination, in style.

Disclaimer - I ended up getting a Booq Viper case for my 13" MBA, and while it's not leather at all - it's ballistic nylon - it was the best choice, and exactly what I was looking for.

Consider Hardgraft. The heritage flat pack for Macbook 13'' is 1,5'' thick and will fit an iPad, laptop and magazine (but all in the same pocket).

@Travlnd - yah, that's the feeling I get - got lots of great things and great deals thanks to this place.

@MtlChris - marvellous looking stuff. Would have been nice if it existed in a format other than messenger, but this definitely goes on my wish list

So after drooling on the Hard Graft bag for a while, I came across this article:

http://thetechedit.com/2012/11/why-i...a-macbook-pro/

All the same applies to a 13", so that's a big no no.

With that in mind, here is a potentially great alternative:

Resurrecting this thread yet again, the Knomo bag is neat, but having held one in my hands, I've decided against it, as it will become dirty and cheap looking very quickly.

My current thing is this - https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/9990...af_you_favitem
