First Tumi, now Rimowa!
Just saw the popular Rimowa Topas Range in Shenzhen's "Counterfeit Mall"!!!
Absolutely unbelievable! They have been selling Tumi knockoffs for years but they must have recently caught on that they can also make a profit on Rimowas.
Not inspected it in detail, it's not aluminium but a flimsy polycarb and the castors and telescopic handle is nowhere close to that of the real McCoy! Left in a hurry to avoid a hard sell sales patter so never got the chance to inspect the interior. Maybe next time.

Fabrics are easier to knock off. A hard shell is more difficult but not impossible.
These are for the A goods image crowd. Not for serious traveller who needs the protection of a real shell.
