Egyptian airport security put my cat in the scanner for luggage?
So last year I went to Egypt (Bulgaria-Italy-Egypt flight) and in every security check in every country I have been to I have to take my cat out of the cage and walk with it through the normal scanner.
But no the security in Egypt (Cairo airport) literally picked a fight with me and told me to put my cat with the bags in the other scanner then took her from me forcefully and put her there...
And same thing on my way home.
I'm supposed to go to Egypt around next month and I am so worried the same thing will happen again.
I mean is that even supposed to be normal, because it really isn't in Europe from my experience?

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Yachtman for emperor.

Seriously, the idea of using animals as vectors might strike us as absurd if not repugnant, but on reflection I have to concede it is at least theoretically possible. But either way, the main lesson here is that travelers to independent countries have little to no control in situations like these.
Leave the cat at home.

If the American Government are concerned about Weapons of Mass Destruction in a 1 Inch wide Lap Tablet at Iranian and other Middle East Airports..Heaven only knows what could be concealed and carried inside a six inch wide Persian Cat.
