Get his teeth professionally cleaned. I was one of those - oh, his teeth are fine! people when my vet would gently prod me to get my dog's teeth cleaned, especially since it was going to be $1800 here at my vet in the city. After I discovered a loose tooth, I knew a dental cleaning and extractions had to happen in the very near future. I found a vet in the suburbs for $1400 less than my vet quoted and off we went. Sadly, my dog lost many teeth but his breath is a million times better and he's an all around happy dog. If I had to do it all over again, I'd be brushing my dog's teeth every single day. Brush your dog's teeth and then get those choppers professionally cleaned. It will make a huge difference in how your dog's mouth looks, feels and smells.
