Kamala Beach, Phuket

Hi, from what i have been reading online, Kamala Beach in Phuket is basically dead during mid september

has anyone spent time there during mid september.

ive been meaning to check it out for a while, but would like to get some feedback on how dead it really is.

are there many restaurants open etc

September is usually the wettest month of the year in Phuket and many of the "quieter" bays are fairly empty.

Most of the restaurants, bars, etc near the beach in Kamala are open but the general ambience is not very lively.
