FA taking pictures of my food

Flew BKK-SYD in F recently. FA took pictures of several of my meals (right after they were served). I asked her why and she said it was for advertising material. Doesn't it seem a bit unprofessional to a) use a iPhone to shoot photos for advertising materials, b) shoot pictures of food for promotional material after it has been served to a passenger. It's not like there weren't 6 empty F seats for her to table the food first if she wanted a photo of the food on a tray at a seat.

The food probabaly fell on the floor before she plated it and now had evidence that the F passenger actually quite enjoyed it.

LOL, I had to poke fun at this, hope you don't mind. But it is a bizarre experience IMO.

Maybe the pictures were actually taken for training purposes so that they can be shown to trainees?

exactly or even social media posts don't need to use professional photos...not a big deal if it wasn't really interrupting or impacting your meal.

Sounds like you missed an opportunity.

I think there's a pretty good chance those pics will end up on Facebook to the FA's friends within minutes of touchdown.

FA is a very high status job for most Thais, even some hi-so's. It's still a glamour job, as it was in other cultures decades ago. The 'show off' potential out-weighs the inappropriateness of taking pics of what goes on in F.

I'm assuming the OP is not Thai. The chances of something like this happening to Thais would be much lower. A Thai hi-so in F would probably complain about this in a flash.

Very possible.

But I rather like the flirting mention above. Guess he will wonder about it for the rest of his life.
