A330 J Class Seats

Does the 58in pitch A330 version really only have a 131 degree recline??!! According to Seatguru these seats are also angle lay-flat. That seems impossible given the limited recline. The A333 with only 49in has a better recline and Seatguru does describe them as lay-flat.

THAI has 17 A330 aircraft, only 2 in the old regional '333' configuration with recliner style seats. The 330 and 33H have an older generation sloped flat seat. SeatGuru information is not always correct.

The THAI website shows:

330 series page http://www.thaiairways.com/en/exp-my...aft/333.page?#
330/33H seat http://www.thaiairways.com/en/exp-my...-300-rsc.page?

Thanks. Seat Guru needs to update their description. Not the world's greatest J class seats, but I guess okay for the 6hrs to DXB.

one of the two with recliner i have "enjoyed" during recent years only twice on the BKK CNX route
but many times A330 with the angle flats, which are ok for regional routes, but painful on the red eyes to Korea

The J seat is still better than the Y seat on these red-eyes. Taken too many of them, and yet they seem better than the morning departures from BKK that go via HKG.

Can you tell which you'll have before you fly? Flying TPE-BKK in J in a couple weeks. Flight is early so I'd love to get a bit more sleep onboard.

Thanks!

I have flown TG TPE-BKK several times, always the evening flights. In J, they have never been lay-flat seats.

Yes would be very surprising to see a TG lie-flat on this route. Angle-flat not so bad for such a short flight though.

I believe BR flies a 77W on the route which does have lie-flats.

I've gotten some quality sleep in that seat. It's also much better than OZ's regional J seat, which I consider to be a torture device.
