Why wouldn't TG refit the A330 and B777?

Agree, the B787 ones are worse but it does save space as you can fit the same number of rows in, referring to QR's A330 before and after refurbishment.
Actually my best sleep of the year so far was on QR's B777-200LR (SYD-DOH) back in May. So I wouldn't mind but that means from 30 to 24 seats.
Ideally the best I think would be to go with what AF has on their latest B77-200ER.

It's a staggered arrangement - so there's no 12EF - it would be 12 DG which are separated by a wide margin.
The EF seats are very close together - fine I guess for a couple. But I'd avoid row 11 - too close to the bulkhead in front and the galley. Lots of foot traffic to the front WC too.
If you can manage to be separated... taking one of the solo window seats plus maybe an aisle in front of behind might be the way to go. The solo seats by the window are super good.

probably all taken. Seat guru shows 18EF as not too bad, but if something like 19k was available as a solo you could match that with another aisle seat or something.

18EF taken as well. I took 19 & 21 K for now and will keep monitoring with an alert. Is the second cabin noisy because of its proximity to the Y cabin?
