Intl to Intl Connection at BKK
later this month i am scheduled FRA-BKK-SGN on TG. the connection is scheduled at 80 minutes but if recent history is relevant it looks like I will have something like 30-45 minutes as the FRA-BKK leg seems to be consistently late arriving. Any thoughts on how long it will take to reclear security and get the departure gate? Is 30 minutes enough time for me and the luggage to make the connection? Thanks.

recent history of the flight TG921 does not show such regular delays. 80 minutes should be sufficient. However there are at this time in the morning a couple of flights arriving from Europe with a fare share of international transit passengers. If you have some delay you could jump the queue for the security or if delay is serious and connecting flight is also on TG, chances are that you are escorted through fast track even when flying in economy
So I would not worry too much

Hopefully you are flying F where you will get an escort upon landing at BKK and assisted through the security transit process. If your arrival gate is close enough to a transit point, you can complete the process in a few minutes after getting off the plane.
