Site logs me out between page views

Suddenly I'm being logged out each time I view a page. Makes it very difficult to post (I have to save the text and log in again, then paste and submit the post, then I'm logged out again). And when I log back in there's now a "Proceed" button.

Nothing's changed at my end. This just started this morning. I'm on Win7, FF 28.0. No scripts are being blocked, etc.

Advice?

First time I've seen this.

Try another browser?

Thanks, I noticed I was having the same issue on another site running vBulletin Version 3.8.7. Now today FT is working fine for me, so I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Ugh, crossing fingers didn't work. My only other browser is MSIE
and we're not to use that under pain of death!

Sounds like you might have browser issues.

1. Clear cache/cookies
2. Turn off plugins
3. If all else fails, uninstall/reinstall

I'm seeing a similar issue. Mac OS X 10.8 and Safari. I hadn't been logged out in months. Now, I'm getting logged out quite a bit over the past day or two.

What are you doing when you're getting logged out

Mostly it seems to have happened when I've put my laptop in sleep mode.

It may have also happened while I was viewing other sites in between.

Finally occurred to me to search for this...

There are thousands of reports of this with vBulletin.

A few examples from one forum with a possible remedy:

I'm wondering if it has to do with my using a 4G connection lately.
Multiple (and shared) IPs for one thing. FT logged me out again as I was posting this.

I assume you have selected "Remember me" when you signed in

Correct (but it doesn't stick) FF remembers my form field info though

It has logged me out four times since my last post (in OMNI 7mins ago).

Essentially after each page view.

I'm thinking it might be IP addresses changing. My DSL connection was a bit dodgy yesterday. My modem disconnected and then after rebooting it, things seem to work better.

I'm going to guess vBulletin, or at least the version being used here, doesn't support IPv6. So, it probably isn't directly related to that. Although, Swisscom has been doing a lot of IPv6 stuff of late. Any chance that it could be problems with the privacy extensions to IPv6 causing problems with an IPv6 over IPv4 tunnel?
