LM Apollo AMS mini review

Great Platinum recognition. My ugpraded suite overlooking the water was stocked with Hermes amenities INCLUDING a large bottle of Orange Vert cologne. My Plat amentiy was a terrific bottle of Bordeaux Blanc. The only negatives are no lounge and no breakfast. But that's the same at at the Pulitzer. I was on a very cheap spg.com rate.

Room 218 is a winner.

Hey stimpy....was your stay business or pleasure? It seems that a lot of folks on the board here think that the hotel is not conveniently located but I'd be interested in your (or someone else who has actually stayed at the Le Meridien) opinion since you've actually stayed at the hotel.

Wherever I go in this world it's always for both business and pleasure. The LM is not conveniently locationed for the usual tourist stuff. It's a ways from the tourist red light district, but there are other red light districts very close. And lots of great restaurants and other interesting things.

Amsterdam Centrum isn't a very big place. You can walk all the way across it in less than an hour. So if you are anywhere in the center you are fine. Plus it's easy to get a taxi at the LM.

Plus I should mention that I have been back to this hotel twice now and gotten great suite upgrades and the bottle of Hermes each time.
