I receive the error on the search page, just after clicking submit. Refreshing the page triggers the same "Failed to fetch" dialog. My version of chrome is up to date and I've also tried this with a couple of other Chrome alternatives, Chromium and Canary.

It was working the other day when I tried it.

Now every property is getting mapping errors when trying to fetch the BRG rates.

Also was curious about the Germany/tax issues, so tried Munich, same thing there as well.

I was wondering if the competitive sites follow that law or not.

Manually I found a BRG for Le Meridien Munich using hotelscombined.com for 7/18 - 7/19. The rate shown at hotelscombined.com did not include the VAT, but the rate at the site they found (booking.com) did, so it increased the rate from USD$193 to $207. Still cheaper than the rate shown on spg.com, which was $258 when converted to USD.

trivago did the same thing that hotelscombined.com did. showed the pretax price. Follow the link to the site where you can book that rate (again, booking.com) and they show the higher price with VAT included.

I just tried it again with the same results -- I attempted a variety of searches including one for Honolulu mentioned earlier in this thread. Obviously, some other users are not encountering the fetch error so perhaps its an issue with my O/S (Windows 8) or some other factor. I would normally test something like this on other browsers but it only loads on Chrome for me. To be fair, my version of Firefox is far from the latest but I'm very conservative when it comes to updates (which sometimes break add-ons) so I'm leaving it as is (I did try it in safe mode though).

Just tried to search for August 16, 2016 in Toronto, Canada.

Getting bunch of errors like

Hotel Name: Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel
Hotel official Price($/day): 237
BRG Rate($/day): Some error when mapping official hotel name to compete site

Although a few properties did come up with no BRG

The dallas problem has been fixed, and I also open sourced my code and the mapping file is located in backend/tools

Just tried searching Mumbai, India. There was a phone type icon rotating with cancel option on screen. but after 1 minute of searching, it prompted failed to fetch.

Using Chrome.
