The blurb advertising "rates from..." are quoting prices for Thailand which are pretty typical February rates for the hotels.

A JOKE every single time
I delete the emails with these offers automatically now … after a year
of opening/reading them … and seeing that they were absolutely the
HIGHEST prices on offer anywhere by Starwood … I got fed up with
the whole scam.
It's almost as if Starwood is trying to trick arithmetically challenged members
into signing up for these 'discounted' rates.
Just stop it, Starwood. These tactics are below SPG standards of fair play.
