Referral "Deadline" ...???
Quick question ...
The most recent offer I received from SPG/Amex re: referrals has a deadline of 12/15/11 for me to submit friends' email addresses.
The deadline for my friends to sign up is 1/15/12.
So ... my question is ... after 12/15/11 (the deadline for MY submission of email addresses to AMEX), can ADDITIONAL friends (i.e., people to whom I send the link directly, but whose email addresses I did NOT provide to AMEX) still use my link to apply and get their bonuses? And would I still receive the 5,000 bonus points as the referrer, since they will have gone through my link???
I know it's not an exact science and - as always - YMMV ... ; and I also realize that it's difficult to know who follows through on the applications, who gets approved, etc., but for my personal friends and family, I should be able to track it - at least to know if they've applied and been approved - so I should be able to determine how many "bonuses" I should be receiving.
Essentially, I suppose my question boils down to ... whether or not "my" link will still be valid to earn me bonuses after the 12/15/11 deadline for me to submit the email addresses to AMEX/SPG - and whether I'll get the referral bonuses - even if I haven't previously provided AMEX/SPG with the individual email addresses...???
