This doesn't seem to be such a great deal to me. For several properties I have considered recently the room rate is well above that which could be obtained 2 days out from a stay. Since there is no flexibility with these rates either I am not really sure what the point is. I guess for those properties which often sell near their rack rates then this is a decent offer, but I would have thought this would be a very small number of properties indeed at the present time.

Was holding off on booking the Sheraton Steamboat for a ski weekend next weekend, to see if by any chance it was a Starpick today (doubted it).
This promo gave me a rate a good 20% less than either Z3R or SPG50.

It appears rates have been loaded for June but as mentioned above possibly rates are not really great.
The bottom line is we need 10 or 11 days in a DELUXE
room exiting the hotel on Aug 21(set in concrete as have managed to get JFK-CDG business direct using QAN points)
After hours of fiddling with rates the best I can find is 11 nights beginning Aug10 using a combination of z5h and z6h rates for around $265 per night.10 nights beginning Aug would be fine.
Would be really interested if you can find a better combination.

So if the 50% off rate was lower than the rate for SPG50, what rate is the SPG50 rate based on? Is it BAR v. rack rate? -- Suzanne
