Sheraton Ulaanbaatar Hotel to open 2013 - or not?
Pretty early announcement on this opening. But it'll be nice to have another choice in Mongolia.

Did this hotel ever open? I read somewhere it was supposed to open June 2011, but still can't find any information about it.

The hotel dropped off the SPG website months ago. Still can't find it under Mongolia.

Looks like this hotel is back up on the website with a revised opening date of Sept. 1, 2013

I stayed at UB Guest Hostel, and it was the worst $8,- I spent on my trip from Moscow to Beijing.

The Shangrila opens next year in UB as does the Radisson shortly.

Lot's of changes in the Government (state take overs of many private ventures) and so a lot of multinationals aren't investing. Until the government stops stealing from private companies not much progress will be made.
