Arrow What's the difference between REVALIDATION & REISSUE

Hi all,
This is my first post here so excuse me if it's in the wrong forum.
As the title states I would like to know the difference between revalidation & reissue.

I will be flying from LHR to ICN with Asiana Airlines. Here is my fare information (Economy Restricted, booking code K) :

FQN1-2//PE

FARE COMPONENT 2 ADT SELLON OZ KLPX3MUK
FCL: KLPX3MUK TRF: 980 RULE: GB20 BK: K
SELLING UPDATER: OP 3GBLON981
PTC: ADT-ADULT FTC: ER -ECONOMY RESTRICTED
PE.PENALTIES

CANCELLATIONS

CHARGE GBP 200.00 FOR NO-SHOW.
NOTE -
NO SHOWS OR BOOKING CANCELLED ON DAY OF DEPARTURE
WILL BE SUBJECT TO ABOVE FEE WHICH IS INCLUSIVE OF
NO SHOW FEE OF GBP 150 AND THE RESPECTIVE REFUND
CHARGE.

ANY TIME
CHARGE GBP 50.00 FOR CANCEL/REFUND.

> CHANGES

ANY TIME
CHANGES PERMITTED FOR REVALIDATION.
NOTE -
NAME CHANGE NOT PERMITTED
CHANGES NOT PERMITTED IN CASE OF REISSUE.

>
As you can see it's the penalties information for the journey back (ICN -> LHR). I might want to change the return date, I'm going to Korea on June 30 and coming back on September 24, but there might be a possibility I have to come back earlier.

Is it possible with this fare ? For free or do I have to pay something ?

I did some research and it seems reissue means re routing, which would not apply in my case, right ? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...n-meaning.html

Thanks !

The way I read it is a simple date change before the date of departure should be free.

Revalidation:

- Change to only the date/time/flight (as permitted by fare rules and validity of ticket)
- No change to airline/booking class/routing allowed.
- E-ticket record is "updated" to reflect the new date/time/flight once the original flight is cancelled and rebooked.
- E-ticket number remains the same.
- Easy to do, requires only a few keystrokes by the airline agent.

Reissue:

- Change to a combination of date/time/flight and/or airline and/or booking class and/or routing.
- May result in higher fare.
- Old e-ticket is essentially "exchanged" for a new e-ticket. (If new e-ticket has a higher fare, you pay the fare difference plus change fee)
- New e-ticket number is generated.
- More keystrokes and depending on the type of ticket, and can be a pain for the airline agent (especially for long RTW itineraries).

Note: Some airines do not support revalidation due to technical limitations and the e-ticket must be reissued even for simple date changes. If this is the case, the fare calculation of the old e-ticket is copied to the new e-ticket and no additional collection of money is due (reissue charge may be due as per the fare rules and/or as per airline policy at the local station).

Also note (applies to both reissue and revalidation):

- Airline agents who are not familiar with the fare rules for your ticket or don't have access to it may need to refer to the rates department.
- Some airlines such as SQ may require advance notice (i.e. 48 hours) as they may need to "refer" to the office in the country where the ticket is issued before they do anything (for some special fares).

This will only be free if there is availability in booking class K.
