AC*G flying Air NZ, which frequent flyer?
Please forgive me if this is not the correct forum to be posting this in. I have looked around quite a bit and could not find an answer to my question.
I am Air Canada Elite Status 50 K (Star Alliance Gold).
I will miss AC Elite Status this year so signed up to Aegean to aim to get star alliance gold through them.
I am flying on Air New Zealand with flights totally 19,000 miles soon.
Can I put my AC FFP number on my ticket and use my *G benefits while flying, then afterwards credit the miles to Aegean?
Or is better to put Aegean FFP number on ticket and use my *G card for lounge and priority boarding?
The one concern I have is baggage... I would like to bring 2 bags.
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

Kia Ora,
If your booking was made by Air NZ, you can call the contact center and request they enter both:
FQTV for the program where you want to earn miles
FQTS for the program where you want your status to be applied (baggage allowance, lounge,...)
Some agents are not familiar with this process, but you can suggest they ask advice to the premium team for this
your boarding pass will show both.
If this does not work, give the program where you already have a status, check-in, use the lounge, and then ask the lounge agent to enter FQTV and FQTS, they are the ones used to this process.
And yes, be careful of the class of service you purchased as some fares are only eligible to get airpoints (NZ) only.
Safe travels

Lounge staff are usually pretty good about it. Further to the good summary above, here's some recent discussion over on the NZ board.

Hence why the UA agents would of never heard of it, they probably can't even see it.
